Buying a printer

I need to buy one of those printer combined photocopiers. Has anyone any suggestions? I presume that any brand would be fine? They seem to range from around €60 to €200 so I suppose somewhere in the middle would be ok. Are there any features I should look out for when buying. Also I presume that they come with their own software for photo editing and printing etc. I am looking for a printer which will print good quality photos.

avoid lexmark... HP are usually good, epson too.
Check out the cost of the ink first and that you can get it refilled easy enough as thats the main cost.. a €60 printer will work almost as good as a €200 printer but the real ink probably costs more and lasts for less prints.

Someone said they do good printer in Tesco? Is this true?
I suppose refilling the ink cartridge may be a problem for those

Nail on the head! A simple rule of thum is the cheaper the printer the more expensive the cartridge, so check the cost of those before buying a printer, I have seen instances of a replacement cartridge costing more than the printer itself!

You can get epson consumables dead cheap on ebay and epson are also considered the best for photo printing; put it this way, I baught a epson R360 for €120, and I can get a full set of SIX inks (Black and all colors) for €20 delivered off ebay, they work fantastic quality aswell, HP, Lexmark they both have overpriced ink for what its worth, Canon offer decent printers with cheap origional consumables

€150 is not bad for a network laser Rory! Its pretty good actually.
If you want a little more though, get a standard laser and a print server to go with it.
Im not sure you will find too much for a better price than €150 though. Was this in a shop or online?

Dell has one for €69, it says network optimised which i take to mean it has a lan connection.

You'll end up paying over the odds for dell toner though ;) You could always refill though but they don't always work out too good ;)
