Hi - can anyone recommend a good casa particulares to stay at for a few nights in Havana? Dont want to do the whole hotel thing.

Any other advice / tips for cuba or havana would e much appreciated!

There are many of these casa particulares in Havana, it really depends which area of the city you want to stay. I can suggest 2 options:

Right in the middle of the Old Havana:

    Sra. Deydre Montalvan
San Juan de Dios No. 112
    Apto. 6 bajos
    e/ Aguacate y Compostela
    Habana Vieja

    Guanabo (20Km from Havana city):

    La Gallega y Teresa
    Calle 472 No. 7807 A
    e/ 7ma. B y 9na. Guanabo
    C. Habana

It really depends which holiday you want to have.
Habana Vieja will be your starting point for city tours, shopping, cafes, cocktails, traffic, nightclubs, restaurants, etc....
Guanabo is more of a beach holiday, relax....

Of course you`ll be also able to spend sometime at the beach even if staying in Habana Vieja, but you`ll need to find some sort of transportation (taxi or taxi particular).

    Good luck !
