Subliminal Messaging On Nickelodeon

Well I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but this morning my younger brother was watching Sponge Bob on Nick and when the ad's came on BAM a tiny flash of a Nintendo Wii ad came up on the screen. It was almost impossible to see and it wasn't a once off. My other brother noticed the same thing later today when I told him about it. Has anyone else seen it? Subtle way of getting kids to buy consoles huh?

Depends how quick the flash was I guess.

Alot of ads are like that these days. BBC just flash the word torchwood on the screen for half a second.

As far as I know there's no evidence actual subliminal advertising works...

Yeah I noticed this too. It's on other channels too but usually after a full ad for the Wii has been shown, then another couple of ads not related to the Wii, and then the quick flash of the Wii sound.

It's probablt not classified as subliminal messaging, because it's quite clear. It's not that quick...but I suppose, putting it on Nickelodeon is a bit cheeky!

I see it all the time, it's not subliminal messaging

    it's too prominent to be

I'd say somebody at Nickelodeon is just incompetent

Well I was exaggerating but I still question the ethics behind it
