Which Violin

    Hi all...

    I'm about to purchase a violin for my gf as a bday gift.
    Now she used to play the violin when she was younger so she would be out of touch and probably a newbie i suppose.

    Any advice appreciated on things like type of violin, places to buy etc etc

    I myself dont know much about violins and have just started to do some research.

    i have been playing violin for 10 years. i bought my first couple of violins from charles byrne on lower stephen street. however i think a better shop would be crehans musical instruments 6 carberry road, drumcondra. both places very helpfull

    +1 for Crehans. got my Double Bass there and there service is tops. You'll get great advise and I am sure a decent price.
