Help me reset my display settings

    So I brought my PS3 to my friends house who has a HD TV. He changed the display settings on the system. I didn't pay much attention but I think he changed the resolution. Anyway, I'm not getting any picture up on my gammy old telly. All I need to do is change it back but I can't see what I'm doing. So could anybody help me and tell me the exact sequence of buttons I need to press to get the display settings back to normal?

    PS3 plugged in and turned off so red LED is on.
    Press and hold the PS3 power button for 10 seconds until it beeps twice. First beep will be when you press it and it PS3 turns on, green LED on. 2nd will be after 5-10 seconds and video settings reset.
