Anyone have any ideas for the best/cheapest/easiest/most reliable way to trigger pieces of music during a live show. I had it in mind that the drummer would hit a pedal to start first piece, then again for next piece, but what equipment is required.

    Use a midi keyboard,
You can rig each key to play a different sample

Big subject, but your best bet is to look into Ableton Live on a laptop with a MIDI keyboard rigged up. You also have to decide if you need to play in time with the sample, or get the sample to play in time with you, assuming of couse, that it is not a one shot.

Get to hitsquad.com for other software methods to do this.
