Vista Dialup modem?

Can anybody tell me where I can buy a modem with Vista drivers? It's for a new Dell Vostro. Would prefer a USB modem, but will install card if necessary (do vostros have PCI, PCI express or both?). I could have bought one with the dell, but the person using the machine led me to believe that they had broadband. They sell modems on the dell site but I haven't been able to find a vostro compatible one, or one that certifiably works with vista.

I found out that Trust make compatible usb modems, and could only find them on ebay. Ordered before xmas, but the power seller (10k transactions) appears to have done a legger - site down, phones/emails unanswered for weeks now.

    Thanks for reading.

Finding a 56k modem for vista is tricky enough, but we have had success using a regular modem and just feeding it the XP drivers and it has worked fine. What model of Vostro is it? If its a small form factor PC that can cause issues trying to get a full size modem into it, but if its a regular desktop it will have several standard PCI connectors free.

Thanks kaisersoze - just looking though. Komplett says nothing about Vista compatibility and the tp link siote doesnt either. The driver download cites OSs up to XP only.

    This does suggest compatibility though.

Just wondering where you heard it is vista compatible?

It does say Vista on Komplett. And their website says it.
    http://www.tplink.com/products/product_fea.asp?id=49
    FAX mode capabilities:
    ITU T V.17, V.29, V.27ter, and V.21 Ch 2
    Group3 FAX

Caller identification (caller ID, based upon V.92)

V.42 and NMP2-4 error correction (LAPM and MNP)
V.42bis and MNP class 5 data compression

Operating system support: Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista and Linux

    Read down through the description.

You're spot on. I stopped reading after
This Modem can be used in the following Operating System: Windows98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 Windows XP and Linux.

on Komplett, which was pulled from the identical text on the TP Link page.

As you say it cites vista compatibility elsewhere. I have a 5 second attention span, caused by years of indiscriminate googling.

    Thanks again.
