    Hey everyone.
Im new to boards and saw the golf thread...
Started playing last August, was a total amateur but really liking it so far (when I get the weather and when things go well) - just par 3 courses so far.
Got clubs few months back and then xmas came and I have everything now - again, apart from the weather!

Just interested in hearing what people love/hate about the game and any tips you can give to a (kinda) beginner!

    Thanks
    S:cool:

my biggest tip is to get lessons and work hard at what the pro tells you!

the thing i love most about golf is that u always hit one excellent shot that makes you come back for more!

Thats how I am too! That one shot makes me want to have more and more like it!
I was looking into lessons aswell - gonna sort something out soon. Nervous though haha!

ah dont be nervous! its somethin everyone does(or shud do) even tiger woods gets lessons.

before long you'll be hitting more of them shots that will leave u wanting to play again

    Best things about golf......

    Lovely scenery.

Can have a good match against most standards of golfer.

Can be practiced when you want.

Nothing beats the feeling of watching a soaring drive splitting the fairway or a wedge halting two feet from the pin.
