Afraid so! Had to do something instead of my cancelled trip to Prague, and I'd never been to the BGs.

And how come nobody told me about the ravenous killer squirrels?

A few more, including the squirrel of death, here. :)

Really like them, not to mention the squirrel. Did it bite your finger?

wow the first one is gorgeous ! the light is fantastic in it. Looks like something out of a movie still - looks as if time has stopped or something - really eerie, but beautiful.

*pops over to flickr to fave*

I'm in awe of that first one too. Did you do a bit of a tilt shift on it or something? It looks really eerie..

The 1st one has a fairy tale feel to it :D
I had a look at your squirrel one
How did you get so close to it?

    Thank you, kind folks!

I survived the squirrel attack unscathed. This time...
Took a load of squirrel shots like stewie's too - they really make it easy for you!

The one in my flickr ran up my leg and started clawing my lens when I knelt down - he must be a Nikon owner.

Regarding the first pic, there's some contrasting, and some messing with the tones... and the saturation... Frankly I'm not sure what - I stopped when I thought it looked good in Lightroom! I'm new to LR - can I save a user-preset from a history file or can you only create one from scratch?

    CHEERS!

eerie... i'd go stronger than that - downright scary ! <<shudder>> Not my cup of tea - nicely took though!

No 2 on the other hand for me is quite wonderful. I love the control of the depth of field - it's like something you would see in a book to demonstrate control of aperture, and imho you have attained an excellent focus in the middle - very nice, well done.

    Cheers

I like 3, but I think it might be a bit soft?

Rory, I had noted some boards crew were there yesterday, though that couldn't have worked for me.

Anyhoo I had the missis in tow, and I suspect she'd be hesitant about hanging out with some internet bunch I've never met either! Besides I'm not cool enough to hang without a battery grip. ;)

Thanks for the other comments, all!

Ideo - I see what you mean - it almost looks like the tree is melting!

Lovely atmospheric tree shots there. But the squirrel running up your leg on flickr is priceless!
