unless you're on a very tight budget i'd recommend staying in a cheapish hotel instead.

You didn't waste too much time looking for advice before you went ahead and booked.

I would of recommended Suk 11.

Avoiding staying in Kho San Road was a good idea though.

Ko San Road is what it is, it's dirty and a bit of a shock to the senses but you can definitely have a bit of craic there especially if it's your first time there, just be wary. D n D is alright yeah, as is a place called ' at home hotel', just off KSR at the bottom near burger king, both around a fiver a night. Wouldn't bother with a hostel ever in thailand.

Nobody's saying that. Your hostel seems fine. Less than 10 mins to both the underground and the skytrain. Silom is a nice are too imo!

Max Power was talking about Ko San Road where most backpackers would stay. It's got a bit of a bad reputation. I like the KSR area but I just don't stay there. It's well worth heading over for a night to see what all the fuss is about.

Its as central as you get imo! 2 minute walk to the Nana skytrain station.

I loved that place - so clean! Seems to have been safe enough, although as for all guesthouses around Asia, don't leave anything of value in your room. Actually better still, don't bring anything of value with you in the first place! :D They might have a safe behind the counter you could leave something in if you are that worried ..... a lot of places have latches on the doors so you can use your own locks too.

Excellent!Ya i dont expect any south asia hostel to be completely safe as much as i dont expect one in Ireland to be completely safe.
most valuable il bring is a camera and ipod so should be ok
