Not sure where to put this but does anyone know of anywhere on the net that I'd find the copyright info on a whole bunch of songs?

    This is kind of complicated.
There are lots of levels of copyright with regard to songs. There are the rights of the original publisher, author, performer etc.
Here are some sites to use to check some details:
    ASCAP
    BMI
    SESAC

Alternatively you could post them to your self, burn a master copy, label it, put the songs on a sheet of paper with all the information whats on the disk, copyright to yourself, sign and date it, put it in a sealed evelope, post it to your self and never open it!!!! as you will see when you recieve the evelope/package back it will be stamped and dated by a post office! this proves you have made the music before this date and stand by you in court if ever you need to prove your the copyrighter!

This one is a bit of an urban myth, I'm not sure if it would ever stand up in court if you required proper legal, watertight proof of copyright: http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#poorman

Not sure what the story is re. Irish copyright law.
