Hey there guys and girls, I'm kinda confused with something a girl has been telling me.

I've been seeing this girl for a short time and she tells me that I'm "cute" and she keeps telling me this when I say something romantic or if I complement her etc. What exactly does cute mean when a girl says it about a guy?

She has said to other people around that I'm "Sexy" too. (not to be big headed, its her opinion lol) I'm just really confused about this as I think this girl is amazing personality wise but she looks hot/sexy/attractive too.

I'd prefer if a female could answer this but guys who've been in this situation, please answer too.

Its a good thing! She can't really say "ah you're so romantic" - that just doesn't really work! Chill, its all good, cute = sweet!

I agree! It's just something I'd say when a guy says something nice and I'm maybe a bit embarrassed.

If a girl thinks your Cute and Sexy... thats a good thing. A very good thing.

Guys dont like the word cute as they think its a word reserved for those who the girls intend should stay in the dreaded 'Friend Zone'.

But I think a girl will use it if they guy has boyish charm, etc

I think any guy would just rather a girl said that they were a F***ing stud with a huge C**K.

But realistically that aint going to happen.

I second Victor on this one, if you're in a relationship then cute is fine, if not the friendszone may beckon. Seize the moment, bite the bullet and all those cliches. State your case.

it can mean either:

- youre cute: youre really sweet & i adore you - usually with a big smile & cuddle & lots of aww/ahhh kinda noises

- youre cute: not hot. a response to someone who compliments you or something & you dont know what to say - with a kind of half smile, like "ah youre cute thanks"

There's a few things they could mean. Unless they add in a qualifier (e.g. "but only like a puppy") it's one of the possible meanings that are good.

A large portion of "WTF?" is added here. Really, saying your cute is pretty normal if you're seeing someone. You should also not worry if she says "hello" or "Gah, dreadful weather today".

Yes, girls are confusing damnit!! We've seen each other around for a few months now but it was last week that we started talking and getting to know each other intimately. It's like love at first site for the both of us.
We kiss and stuff but haven't had sex yet. Ok, don't get me wrong, I'm not deliberately looking for sex but if it comes to it then it's a bonus. I just really like this girl and I think she likes me too.

Hopefully I'm not wrong.
