Hi Guys, I'm back in the saddle after 18 years. Any tips and hints would be appreciated. Was quite advanced when I ws young so just wondering how long it will take until I reach that standard again, if ever. Thanks, Daisy.

Not knocking your ability but as a child you will be better that starting again as an adult, remember as a child you had no fear factor and if you fell would get straight back up.

You will hopefully regain to your standard you where at when you where younger but it will take longer that when you where young just try ride any time you can.

What kind of standard where you at jumping at what height and grade?

Hey Daisyplant. I would suggest doing some exercise for your legs before you start. It will make it easier. Other than that its like riding a bike... just get on with it ..you will feel at home again in no time!

    Good luck

Thanks for the response. Togster I think your right, I'll just get on with it. First time went a lot better than I expected it to in that I can still canter and jump ( all be it small fences)lol. We'll see how it goes between now and the Summer. Cheers, Daisy.

I took up riding again after 30 years out of the saddle and after a few hiccups in the beginning it's like i never stopped. Absolutely love it and can't understand why I gave it up in the first place. The only thing I find tricky is my flexibility isn't the same as it used to be so anything you can do that improves your flexibility should help with the riding.

    Above all, enjoy
