Hello all. Are there any clothing banks around the Ranelagh/Rathmines area. I am travelling up from Galway today to do a clear out on my late father's house and need to be able to drop second hand shop stuff off somewhere.

There is this one 'Herzog Park, Orwell Road, Rathgar, Dublin 6' according to this website. Sorry to hear about your loss :(

This is much better - Rathmines Waste Management Depot, Gulistan Terrace, Rathmines, Dublin 6. Entrances from Mountpleasent Avenue and Rathmines Road (laneway at the side of Rathmines Town Hall) - check the opening hours. There is also a clothes bank by the Swimmin gpool on William's Park.

Alternative there are several charity shops in Rathmines, including Barnardos at the other side of the Town Hall, but ask them first.

They've started the redevelopement work on the swimming pool, so the clothes bank and bottle banks are gone from there.
