    Hi,

I have a media center setup, the TV source is running from NTL and is going into a scart to svideo convertor and into a MCE150 card. I have gone through the screen config (colour / brightness etc) and i'm very happy with the picture from DVD etc. But the quality of the TV picture needs a little tuning.

I'm using purevideo decoder and find that with a colourful and bright scenes everything is great, but dark scenes have a problem. p.s I'm running a LCD tv which I know isn't perfect with darks, but it still can be better than this. There are 2 main problems I have. The first is the dark scenes look to be overly dark (brightness / contrast ?) and also in dark scenes you get what I can only describe as a ghosting or bluring when a dark object moves fast.

What i'm hoping for is someone with a similar setup to me can give me thier settings, so I can test them out or worst case a few tips to sort these issues out.

    Thanks for reading

    Smoggy

More info : I have just hooked my XBOX 360 media center extender into the media center - the picture looks way better - such as the contrast / brightness ?

    How can this be ?
