How To Start Back After A Long Break

    Hi All,

So here's my story, was into weights for about 7 years but gradually stopped training for various reasons. Anyhow lately I've decided that i want to start back again. I havent trained for about 3 years and I'm just wondering does anyone have any advise please?
Just to give you an idea of the lifts I was doing, bench press 140Kg, squat 210Kg and deadlift around 240Kg. At my heaviest I would have 14stone, my height is 5'5".
One thing I'm afraid of is the pain if I'm totally honest, and I suppose I think my pride may be a bit dented if I compare what I could lift back then as to what I can do now.

    Any comments greatly appreciated.

    P.

    They're pretty good lifts for a 90kg'er.

You obviously know what to do if you were able to get to that level in the first place. So why not just do it again...?

Yep good point, I suppose I was just looking for advise from someone who had started training after a long break..

Just take it easy at the beginning man, work your way up! Supposedly muscles have 'memories', so it's possible that you will see gains more quickly than someone who has never weight trained.
