I work away from home as I am in college and hardly ever go home as working every weekend. I am entitled to holiday pay and I asked for it 2 weeks ago for it. I work part time in college on the weekends, normally friday through sunday only taking holidays for exams which was in the summer and a few days in september(repeats) , long story short I asked for a week holiday (worked xmas eve & st stevens day even tho it took 3 hours to and from home) for the exams which for me started just after the first of the new year , to my surprise I did not get any,I then asked for it this week after but when I didnt get it I gave them the benefit of doubt , so I was expecting this week but alas no.Can I demand the money this week as I was expecting for the last 3 weeks.

Just so you know its a petrol station and it a new assistant manager that I pi$$ed off when I did not show up one day and has been annoyed every since, I have worked there for 2 half years with near flawless record apart from that.

She is not giving me any hours or paying me holiday pay this cant be right as everyone who asked for holidays and holiday pay got it .

Where do I stand I am owed holiday pay and everyone who asked for it got it, am I wrong to demand for it?

I know she cant fire me as you have to have a few verbal ,written etc warnings and I have zero

bottom line I want my money that I am owed 3 weeks ago whats the law about this?
    sorry for the big post

    james

edit I did look online but there is no definite answer

    From citizensinformation.ie
There are three different ways of calculating your annual leave entitlement:

Based on the employee's working hours during what is called the leave year, which runs from April to March. An employee who has worked at least 1,365 hours in the leave year (that is, an average working week of 26.25 hours) is entitled to the maximum of four weeks' annual leave. Many employers use the calendar year (January-December) instead of the official leave year to calculate entitlement

By allowing 1/3 of a working week for each calendar month in which the employee has worked at least 117 hours

8% of the hours worked in the leave year, subject to a maximum of 4 weeks
