Price range is €1000 to €1500! any ideas?

Where would the best place be to buy from?

I don't have any experience with the sonys. A friend of mine had one about 2 year ago and he was happy with it but hes a mac user now :D

I know i might get abuse for saying it but why not consider dell. I have an inspiron 6400 with top spec and its running like a dream, got it for about 1200.

Now im going to run before the dell haters get here :p

Since Sony moved laptop production to China I have been hearing bad things. To be honest, Dell tend to have a number of offers and a good spec at a good price. OK so they are dull and dont offer all the gimmicky HP / Sony crap that I fell for, but very reliable in general. Except if u get one from Limerick right before a munster match, in which case it may well have been used as a rugby ball.
