As the title says. Not driving long and don't know much about cars etc. . . So, I need to get a slow puncture repaired and not get ripped off (driving on the spare at the moment and have the NCT on Monday )

Anywhere in or around the Raheen/Dooradoyle area, as I could nip down there during my break from work???

    Cheers

    There are tyre centres everywhere.

They will charge a fixed sum for puncture repair. It seems to have gotten very expensive all of a sudden- they all seemed to charge about €5 (which was always very reasonable) but lately they seem to charge about the €10.

Just stay away from the smallest dingiest dungeons and you'll be AOK.

Try one of the two Advance Tyres depots in Limerick. One is on Cathedral Place, the other on Ennis Road. They'll sort it out for €10/15 - unless the problem is in the tyre's sidewall, which will mean you'll need a new tyre. Have a look at the tyre - it's most likely a screw, nail, etc.

Mid-West Tyres, between Casey's Furniture Store and the Texaco filling station, just after the Raheen Industrial Estate roundabout. Sound lads in there.

The garage at the traffic lights on the Dublin Road where the junction is for Canal Bank/Musgraves Cash and Carry are pretty efficient and not too expensive from my experience. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the garage though.

They are called MTS and are good, any tyres that I buy from eiretyres.ie I have fitted and balanced there. The owner can be a bit eccentric at times but once you get to know him, he is grand.

Anyway the OP is looking for somewhere in the Dooradoyle/Raheen area which is at the other side of the city.
