    Hi,

anyone know of a good free website editor where I can update and grow my website from the comfort of my MacBook?

iWeb looks handy but not being able to import my own webpages rules it out really unless I completely redesign the website.

For good functionality, am I looking at paying for an editor?

I've googled plenty of them but opinions are inconclusive.

Maybe this is the wrong forum....thought it might be relevant since it's for a Mac

    You could try Amaya.

HAve a look at NVU, it's free, I've only had a quick look at it myself but it looks alright.

cssedit is excellent, while not for complete websites, it will help you with coding using CSS

    I've downloaded NVU....looks alright.

I guess if I knew what CSS was, that editor might be ok! :D

I'm a computer programmer by trade, but when I went to college to study for it, the internet was just starting and my trade now is on IBM mainframes, so website coding is a whole new world for me.

    Thanks for the advice
