Travel in London

Going to London in March, Saturday-Monday.
Want to see the sights etc.

Can anyone recommend a travel pass or similar, say for the tube/busses.

I will be flying in to Gatwick, so is there a pass that would cover that journey and the three days? (I know Gatwick is a fair distance out, so its unlikely).

    Thanks

Gatwick won't generally be covered as it's outside the TfL area :)

This might be a useful read

You can get the Gatwick Express which gets you into the middle of town for somewhere in the region of €25 return in 30 mins. This isn't the cheapest option, but it is fast. Otherwise, you can use the normal commuter trains.

Once in London, you're probably best buying an Oyster card. I have one at home and take it with me anytime I visit London.

Oyster card is great. You can top up with 10 pounds and if you don't use it all they'll give you the change back, and also take the card back. Brilliant!

Yes but only for one day, see my reply in this thread.
For the other days biko's advice on an Oyster Card is spot on.
