ad hoc network problems

    hi there,

im trying to setup a wireless ad hoc connection from my psp to my laptop. I have a wired net connection to my laptop and I would like to share that connection with my psp. I should be able to set up an adhoc network and then go ahead with a shared connection to my psp. I setup the connection, set my pref to only connect to ad hoc networks.Assign an SSID and generally follow everything in the "how-to's"

I always get to the same point though. It says I should back out of the network configuration screen and wait until the network 'finds itself' in my wireless networks list. The icon in my preffered wireless networks turns from the small one with the red X to the one with the blue semi circle on it,displaying that the network is setup or connected or something. My main problem is that the Ad Hoc network is not showing up on my laptops wireless networks list! Can anyone help?
