Normally I'd be all over anything new from China, with a view to stocking them, but I'm not touching these until I hear they're reliable.

My own experiences with 40mm 'nades is that unless they're very high quality they'll leak, and be useless. Anyone remember Gandalf trying to take a photo of me firing mine at Barrage, and them failing miserable because they were all leaking ?

Madbull and Classic Army are so far the only ones I've found to be reliable.

yea, same here, if these turn out to be reliable ill get some, although depending on the price i might buy one or two initially and be a guinea pig

Seals and the like I can handle, if they leak I can fix them. General quality is what I'd be concerned about. Like can the metal threading actually take the pressure. And, importantly, what pressures can they take. There's no point in getting a few cheap nades if they only fire on 134a because the pressure on anything else is too much

That was funny, for us anyway.

I have to admit I found it amusing myself.

I'm going to find it even more amusing next time I see you on a skirmish field :D

And I shall laugh heartily at that sight.

Shiva, do you still have those wonky nades?

If you find them let me know. I might be able to fix them up for you so they don't leak and work efficiently.

throw a few o-rings at it and some silicone oil, that'll fix them ;)

Do most nades run on Green gas/Propane?

Quality is fair so need skill to fix and make it works reliably. Good for experienced gas-powered equipment player.

not really an encouraging sign that

and only 24bbs, not too bad if your buying a bunch of them, but i would prefer about 60 shots myself :)

    The price is encouraging though.

Silicon grease can seal leaks at o rings cant it?

But do these operate at too high a pressure for such as simple fix, so could hardware bought oversize rings be the answer I wonder.

If they appear on gunner I'm ordering one with a bulk buy.

Problem I find with nearly all 40mm's is you cant carry one in the ready position - the bb's tip out if you arent keeping it upright at all times.

I imagine this will also be a problem if you carry them in non-specific pouches.

My vest has a pocket for shoygun shells and two of them fit perfectly in there with the third in the 203

I had that problem with the el cheapo G&Ps I had. Its not a problem with the better quality ones - they have a little spring thingy in there that you push the BBs past, and they wont fall out.

And in a stunning example of marketing spin, the slight force imparted by the spring when the BBs exit is called ....Hop Up :)

I had that problem with useing and storing the grenades in my vest, a simple solution that worked for me was a piece of clingfilm stretched over the end or a thin bit of toliet paper, clingfilm worked best for me as it easyly stayed in place, its strong enought to hold the bbs in but will easly give way when you fire the round off.
