    Hello,

Does anybody know where i'd find a good quality bodywork repair shop for Mazda? I need some scratches tidy-ed up on the front left of the car, the whole left hand side resprayed (was sprayed before i bought it with a less shiny paint than the orignial!) and then i need a nasty iron railing gash on and just in front of the right front wheel arch (including the little reflector piece of glass which is smashed! Its a mazda rx8 2004 in velocity mica red!

I was looking at 1000 for the whole job but hoping to get someone to do a cash deal (not an insurance deal) for a bit less!? anybody any experience with rx8's? or any experience with mazda dealers for this type of job?

    Thanks.

stay away from main dealer anyway. 1000 isnt much for all the work you require. Maybe the paint could be cut back alittle and returned to a good finish. If that could be done and if the scrapes were very minor that would just leave your wheel arch repair which would be a very localised repair and paint.

Bodyworks is something I really wouldn't scrimp on. NEVER got to a main dealer for bodywork- they'll outsource to the cheapest bidder.

Tidying up a car worth a few grand cheaply is one thing but getting the right colour match is essential on a car like yours and quality work costs I'm afraid.

    Where are you based?

Many Mazda dealers are horribly expensive for repairs, but I did get a good deal recently from Jonny Watchorn in Newcastle Mazda (Wicklow)
