Defo some of the nicest guitars i ever played. I have an old Charvel with the ugly pointy headstock, and it sounds and feels beautiful. i never play it live, as i hate the pointy headstock, but its great for recording.
pity they did away with the decent surfcasters, not the ones from a few yrs back...the older ones...
i wonder why they dont make a nice single coil guitar,/ tele style. id go for it in a flash....

AFAIK Charvel made heavey metal style telecasters back in the 80's/early 90's, if you search the net you might come across one for sale. Another one to look for is the Peavey S-2, Telecaster style but usually with nice tops, active pickups and a floyd. Jackson/Charvel is now owned by Fender.

Guitar of choice for many a metaller I think - members of Anthrax, Megadeth (+ many others I'm sure)

Yeah, you'd be mad to play it live. What *would* people think! :p

Ahh jacksons theese days have gone to hell. Deffo not worth what they charge and there are so many superior guitar manufacturers out there these days.

Never played an early one though, Id love to see what all the fuss is about.

mine is an early 90s charvel strat type (with a pointy head). looks almost like the black ESP kirk hammet used, except the head points down!! ive had it for about 16 years now...
i just hate the pointy head now though...
