plumbing a new bathroom

Hi guys. Hope this is the correct forum. I will be getting a new bathroom installed in the coming weeks and my plumber has quoted me €800 for the job but I think its a bit steep. Basically what he will be doing is removing the toilet, bath, radiator and sink - tehn the builder is doing his job (insulating, plastering and tiling) - and then the plumber puts it back in again. Is €800 far off the mark????

The reason I ask is because this guy is normally fairly sound and comes out when I need him which has been a good bit over the years and only charges me €50 even if its a Sunday etc. Its him who gave me the builders contact details so I am in a bit of a rock and a hard place. But then again if 800 is OK there is no problem. He actually said he normally charges €800 but he'd knock afew quid off ( im thinking maybe €50 or so)

    What do you think?

Its a fair price if hes supplying the materials aswell.

Otherwise in my opinion hes taking you for a bit of a ride.

What materials? He's just taking these out and then putting them back in again when builder is done. May have to shift a pipe or two but thats it mate. Am I being done? Anyone know how much it SHOULD cost? Im in Dublin.

    Thanks

€35 / hour is a more than resonable rate

    Shop around.

Hi Guys. I caleld this guy this morning and he said He'd do it for €650. He said that €800 is the going rate for this.

Is 650 an OK price for this? He will be taking out the sink toilet and bath and putting them back in after builder and moving a radiator to another wall. The bath will also be a freestanding one (not sure if that makes any difference.)

If it still souds too dear can anyone recommend someone that will be able to do it next week as thats when the builder wants to start.:confused:

650 is ok - go for it. You have a relationship with the guy and he has treated you fairly so far - If its most of a days work its fair enough.

Do you think? Its just that this has cost more than I thought so far so I dont want to be ripped off. He will be taking out all the stuff on one day and putting in the new one 4/5 days later.
