    Hey folks,

Just got an idea here... If you're walking around town, you're likely to notice the odd sign in a shop window for a vacancy. I thought it would be a good idea if, when someone notices such a sign (for part-time work specifically), they could post it here. I'm sure it would be helpful for those of us looking for work :)

It doesn't have to be only for Dublin, although I'm sure alot of the jobs will be in the capital.

Just post the name of the shop/whatever, the location, and any other relevent information!

Something similar could be done for full-time work... If someone's flicking through the paper and sees an interesting job, they could bring it to others' attention.

    Let the naysaying begin...

    FYI -

'Nature's Way' in the Square, Tallaght (Dublin), are looking for part-time staff. It's the shop beside the customer service desk and juice/smoothy place.

Just to clarify, the mobile coffee set-up on Sir John Rogerson's Quay has absolutely nothing to do with Coffee Angel. He operates under the moniker of Angel Food

For what it's worth, Coffee Angel is always looking for aspiring baristas - especially in the run-up to the summer concert season... bring on the heat!!!

FYI- Xtravision having an open day this week on O'Connell St somewhere. I'm not sure the exact date but if you drop into any shops there should be a poster somewhere with the details.

Apologies. Their setup if very similar to your own. Angel Food? How original of him!

Do I nee to get an application form from the shop or do I just hand in my CV?

The Bull & Castle on Dame Street, Dublin has a sign up on the window that says they're looking for bar staff and to drop your cv in at the bar.

Keep your eyes open if your in Blanch centre as a few shops are said to be opening soon and theres always alot of positions needed in a new shop. For example theres a new clothes shop opening where D2 used to be but it doesnt specify whether the vacancies are part-time or full-time.

they used to give out application forms but at the moment they are only accepting cv's then they get reviewed by hr and any potential staff get called into fill in an application form, and if HR are satisfied with the application they get called for an interview,Its a new procedure, but i reckon it still beats queuing for 6 hours to get a m&s interview.and another plus is HR told me they wont be taking on any high calibre staff because they could find another job easily enough elsewhere, they are really looking for regular working class people or students etc.who would find it harder to get a job than say an ex accountant etc
