Student type accomodation in Dublin, March 14-16

My cousin in the US's student daughter will be visiting Dublin on March 14-16 of this year with 11 of her friends! Age group: around 18-20 years.
I am totally out of touch with the student/budget accomodation scene in Dublin these days. I don't want to book them into a dump or someplace they wont feel safe/comfortable.
Any suggestions for decent hotels/hostels/B&B's in Dublin city centre area would be appreciated.

any of the guesthouses around gardiner street would be your best bet. you do realise that's saint patrick's weedeknd though? getting rooms could be tricky for the friday and saturday lots of places will be filling up if not already full up, i'd get on it asap.

I honestly don't know much about this place, but its certainly central and I always see back packers coming in and out.

stayed here before... good place what you would want from a hostel....
