Heard a few days ago on Mike's myspace blog http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=73885097&blogID=346262181

Near the bottom he says he's listening to it right then! I cant wait to hear it either. Following the blog he seems really excited about it himself.

And I also loved Ghost Reveries

from reports a few months ago (from mike) it seems this album will cover every genre ever created, and create new genre's.

and how good are opeth? so good that i believe that statement :D

I thought Ghost Reveries was disappointing compared to their usual standards but I will be checking this out. Would love to go to that boat gig with Comus!

Im also in favour of ghost reveries, up there with the best of em imo, sure its no blackwater park but cmon how often does lightning strike the same place twice.

Any word on an irish date on there tour that will enevitably follow the albums release.

Well I think Blackwater Park is by far their easiest to listen to but their other albums are on a par with it, My Arms, Your Hearse, Still Life and the Deliverence/Damnation albums all stand tall with it. It's the album most people started with so I think that's why so many people have a soft spot for it but for me it's as good as the others. All of them have their jaw dropping moments but those albums listed just have more of them.
