chorus signal problems?

    Hi all,
    Hope I've the right forum for this post. Our Chorus had been on the blink since we turned on TV this morning. After the chorus "default" screen, as the box shows "init" it then normally brings up the TV channels.

    Whats happening now is after the "init" it goes to "menu" on the box. And the screen only shows a heading of "Signal acquisition" and the menu option is to select a Transponder. Yeah, right..

    Tried unplugging TV, chorus box etc to no avail. Rang a friend who lives nearby and they checked to say they have chorus TV signal. Rang Chorus and got them to resend the signal to our house, then retried but no joy.

    Asked Chorus when they could take a look at it and Friday was the answer. Friday!

    So two questions: (a) anybody had this problem before and, if so, how did you get it resolved?

    (b) are Sky this bad at customer service? Was thinking of changing to them before xmas-this has made me think of doing so again.
