The repeat examinations are usually in August i believe.

You may not need to repeat, it might be possible depending on the subject to pass with continuous assesment or you may get a pass by compensation from another module.

Don't give up the hope:) Good luck

My average in the CA so far is 5%, so I doubt that's gonna bump me up :)

    Thanks though.

If you get over 35% you can compensate with one of your other subjects.

As far as i know that has changed and now it's only 35% and compensate one.

used to be 25% for a 5 credit module, but now its 35%
    d. Compensation is applied where the failed module(s) (up to a maximum of 10 credits) is/are failed with 35% or over (or 45% or over in the case of a programme which has a module pass mark of 50%). It is not applied to module marks lower than 35% (or 45% in the case of a programme which has a module pass mark of 50%).

If the module continues on into the second semester you could try to ace the summer exams and maybe chat to your lecturer.

Otherwise you will be back in late august.

Exam results have a funny way of changing when they want to. Rules and standards also have a strange way of being applied ;)

You can compensate with 35 percent for two 5 credit modules or 1 ten credit module, also repeats are in August.

DCU registry goes into more detail about compensation.

    A word of warning…
You can compensate with 35 percent for two 5 credit modules or 1 ten credit module, also repeats are in August.
Yes BUT, just be aware that ALL the official documentation uses words like … compensation may be applied… The bottom line is that compensation is not automatic, you have no right to it, its 100% at the discretion of the examinations board. While the rules are regularly applied, they are not applied in all cases. So don’t bank on it.
