Singer for Working Band Urgently Required

Singer Wanted, preferably female due to the current set list but a strong male voice would be considered also.

Our cover band urgently needs a new singer. We gig regularly around Dublin and the country and usually go down very well where ever we play.

We have gigs lined up through 2008 but due to a line up change we have no lead vocal presently.

We would like an experienced, strong female singer who is able to front a lively pop/rock band with confidence.

We do quite a mix of songs so PM me for a set list.

We have just bought a top of the line PA system and plan to build the group up through 08, with a view to hitting the corporate/wedding sector asap.

We are all experienced players who love to play but we also practice regularly and like to work hard.

If any of this sounds good then we are going to arrange some auditions/jams next week and the week after. PM me to arrange and for our current set list.

If you have a Myspace/uploaded MP3's/Demo CD that would be great also.

Where do you play? Where are the auditions? How many are in the band?

I am a female singer, I used to be in bands from age 14 to 19. I would like to get back into it. I'm 28 now. I played the pub circuit in Wicklow doing covers. I write my own songs too and play guitar (rhythm). I have also sang at weddings for friends and family, usually just a couple of songs.

Would you be writing your own songs too? i would be interested in writing original material with a band.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

We have been playing every week in Dun Leary (sp?!) temple bar and we have been up the north also, we have gigs booked through the year up there.

We are aiming to set auditions up for Thurs 24th Jan, the studio is in Phibsboro.

This is 100% a working cover band and we do not do any original material. We dont plan to either. Individually we have original projects but this unit is all about playing cover songs well for drunk people.

We want to work and gig hard and earn good € for the gigs.
This involves a good bit of work to get to where we are aiming for- a very tight and flexible combo that can charge a few G's at a wedding with a straight face.

We are already at pub gig level and are keen to step up from this, fun as it is.

The line up is Drums,Bass,Keys and 1 guitar. With a vocalist its a 5 piece band.

This is the old set list but due to being seriously let down this week by our old singer it is liable to change drastically depending on the replacement (m/f, ability,range of new singer etc)

I dont like cheesy pop either but thats not what this is about.

If there is a problem with doing music you dont like then this is not a good project for you.
