I didn't know to post this in Computer Health or here. Feel free to move it.

Anyways, Recently I have been having a serious problems with windows explorer. I noticed when was I was moving music and video files to different folders.

It basically says windows explorer has encountered a serious problem and need to close.

I done a system restore, but Im still getting them same thing

Also sometimes when I'm told to close Windows Explorer it also tells me to close dr watson postmortem debugger, have no idea what it is

    Can anyone help me?

I can't navigate my computer at all over this problem.

    Cheers

run hardware diags /check the drive with hddtune
    check for malware / viruses

if both clean then a reinstall may be an option - but which version of windows - dr watson should list which app crashed , does it ?

I just ran HD Tune. No problems.

Just ran a virus scan, nothing.

I should had mentioned when that it only happens when im navigating my external HDD.

As for the Dr. Watson thing, im not sure as that only happend once and i just ignored it and closed it.

I will reinstall windows if it's my last resort but I'm hoping i don't have to do that.

    Thanks for your help.
