    Hey,

I'm Just wondering if anyone could help me, i am hoping to sell some of my paintings in town over the next few months, there are of Famous icons and my materials by choice are Spraypaint in one hand and canvus in another.

To date i have sold a large amount through word of mouth, and am in the process of selling these online, ...but i really want to meet the people who are buying them, as it's hard to let them go.

Anyway......I really want to sell them in Town, and want to know if you need a licence, or can you just plong yourself down!!, i know you need a licence around Merrion Square and looked into this but there is a 1 1/2 year waiting list at the moment.

Really would like to set up say Grafton street St. Stephens green,

    Any Advise??,

    Cheers,

    Corben

Stephen's Green onl;y does it sporadicaly. Contact the city council (01 2225455) and ask for an application form. Next weekend there doing it in is in June. Ring at least about a month before hand. Hope that helps.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Not sure. I tend to think that, it it was possible, more people would be doing it...

Have you thought of craft fairs or markets?

I have a vague recollection of a market realted thread somewhere heer in the past, but I can't find it.

check the Irish Craft Assoications' website and mailing list, they usually have good links to all the fairs and information on exhibiting at them.

    Cheers,

i have seen various buskers and artists being approached by the gardai on grafton street, seeking permits... so i am almost positive you need to have one. i don't know how you get one, mind, but might be worth just asking someone busking on grafton street..................

blackrock market has a website, and they provide the stall for you to set up on, the prices are quite reasonable, i think its 45 euro for a weekend and it tends to be quite busy - the site has a phone number and everything to ring. maybe you should go there a weekend before committing to see if its busy and would be worth your money. it has always been rather busy any time i've been there but ya never know!!
