Airport Extreme with IBB Ripwave?

    Hi,

I'm planning to get an Airport Extreme base station to use with IBB Ripwave. Does anyone have any experience of using that set up? Do they work okay together?

More specifically, I'm looking to connect a G3 iMac (running 10.4) direct to the base station, along with a printer and an external hard drive (all cabled connections), and then have a MacBook connecting wirelessly.

    Thanks.

Can't see a problem, although I've not used that combo myself.

You'll need a USB hub if you want to plug a USB printer and a USB Hard Drive into the AEBS. Using an Ethernet printer or connecting it to the USB port of the G3 iMac and sharing it would be fine instead.

Remember to set the AEBS to bridged mode to allow the Ripwave to assign the IP addresses, or things could get messy...

The hard drive is an Iomega MiniMax, so it has FW and USB hubs built in. I think I should be able to connect the printer to it that way. Thanks for the bridged-mode pointer.
