Getting sky in my room

I have Sky Plus downstairs in the sitting room and another sky plus in a bedroom upstairs. I was thinking of getting the normal sky box into my room, I already have a sky box around the place and just need installation to be done, how much will this cost me?

    Thanks. :D

I'm sorry but none of the installers here can answer as it would constitute advertising which is quite rightly not allowed. Email guys directly using the sticky supplier thread.

Depends what you actually want? Do you want multiroom (Same channels as other rooms) or just put the box in your room for the FTA channels. If you have 2 sky plus boxes i would say you have 4 cables coming out of your dish? You will need a new LNB (Unless the one you have now is a octo (8) output one), cable from LNB to reciever and thats about it. You could do it your self quite easily, its not hard. You would get help on here to do it.

Tony you are unreal, you just reported me for nothing but yet you have advertised to sell sky meters, you constantly advertise sky special offers and your from satilite company are you for real. Also you make a habbit of calling people idiots take a closer look at youself

You need to check your facts before shooting your mouth off

    1. I did not report you

2.I have never advertised sky meters

    3. I do not sell sky meters

    4. I do not advertise sky special offers as I do not sell sky special offers.( I do post emails I receive from sky for information purposes your are the first one to object.)

Perhaps you can show the posts where I called someone an idiot?

BTW there is only one B in habit. There is an R in yourself and I run a satellite company not a "satillite " one.

I did read it but im not an installer i have the know how though, you name it i can do it, free ntl sky or wireless broadband i am a master at this stuff and do it for the people

Well if you are not an installer you better stay away from installation work. Free NTL is illegal, you have just exposed yourself to potential prosecution.

It seems you have not mastered spelling or punctuation though, nor have a problem advertising in other threads as an electrician
i know a brillant sparks rewired my house in drogheda highly recommend him i can send his number if you like

Don't tell me you got another electrician to wire your own house?

    ,

Just as a matter of opinion have you rang sky? You may be surprised how cheap it is. Sounds like you will need another card for your box for the multiroom option. Its easy enough to do iy yourself like i suggested earlier, But the LNB could be a problem if all outputs on it are allready being used for the sky+ boxes!

Tony, Your spot on mate, actionman85 doesn't belong on these boards with his attitude. He has not obviously read the rules. We all make a few mistakes on these boards with what we write sometimes (Ive made a few), But actionman85 seems to have put his foot in it with his posts.

Snaps is right you should ring sky and see what they offer bearing in mind theres an ongoing payment to them. You can also keep your existing box for use as FTA perhaps.
