    Hi all,

I am 14 years old, sitting my Junior Cert in June. I am quite keen on embarking on a career as a pilot and have been since a young age, never wanted to be anything else.

However, I love the airport and its' environment. Next year I will be in transition year and I will have to do 2 weeks work experience in October and 2 more weeks in January, unpaid obviously. I was wondering though, would there be any kind of position which I could fill?

Working with trolleys or even working at the Cadbury's kiosk or one of the shops in the departure lounge?

    Answers appreciated

    Thanks

Yep, I sent them an e-mail, hopefully they'll consider it anyway, anybody know any other good places to work during work experience?

Apply to scrape the sh|t off the airplanes, in the local airport, if you live near one.

Mate did it for a while, and got paid air time as payment, so that he could get a license.

when i was in TY a friend of mine was in the same position as u guys. she applied to the air core in BALDONNEL and got a place there for a week. she had an absolutely brilliant time and got real proper experience with the pilots etc. when she went there was a group of teenagers lookin for the same experience so it must be a service they offer so you should contact them
