Im buying the xps 13 inch. Il be running the laptop hard enough, few games, photography stuff etc.. should I get the 4gb ram or should I just leave it at 2.

Will my laptop run noticably better if i get the 4 ram as opposed to the 2?

Should I get dell to put it in or will I save much ordering it myself.

    Cheers

Dell will rip you off for a price on new memory. Try shop4memory.com or crucial.com/eu, both sites have a memory configurator to tell you what type of RAM you need and the capacity of the machine. I would leave it at 2GB but don't know much about todays game requirements.

Afaik Windows 32bit will recognise but not utilise 4GB of RAM.

You will only get the use of 3.25GB iirc. 4GB ram is an over kill at the moment. I have 2GB in my laptop and I cannot remember ever filling it, even with running virtual pc with 1GB ram allocated. Stick with your 2GB ram for the time being...
You seem like you have money growing on trees :)

    Ram isn't that expensive. It's only around €100 on shop4memory.ie for a 4GB kit.

You probably wouldn't notice much improvement unless you were using something like photoshop with massive image files.
