Irish Wii in the States- colour problems

Hey, I'm on holidays here in the States. I've bought the extra nunchuk for around EUR16-17 and got a decent uk to us power adopter. So everything is working fine on the tv except for the colour: it's in black and white only. I'm wondering has this something to do with cables to the tv. Do I need to get american cables?

    Any help appreciated.

Over here in Eire, it's PAL. You need to set your Wii to NTSC, so that the output from the Wii is colour.

And how do I do that? On the Wii menu or in settings or something?
    Thanks for quick reply

You won't be able to set it to actual NTSC, but you can use PAL 60, which should be close enough. You might lose part of the picture from the top and bottom though (PAL has a higher vertical resolution than NTSC). Look for the 60Hz option in the Wii options menu.
