New Portable laptop

New kid on the boards wants to buy a portable laptop. I've done the research and have more or less decided on a Dell XPS 1330. I'm not a gamer ,I just want it for internet and writing ,basically.. Also I travel quite a bit so the weight is important.
The question I have is is there any new product just released or due for release in the very near future that will be better than the 1330 for what I want it for?
    Thanks:)

Even if there was one release soon, the M1330 is still a great laptop, would very much recommend it. It's not long out and it's actually quite cheap.

Thanks Username. Do you know if the 9 cell battery is much better than the 6 cell ?

Apple is likely to announce an ultraportable laptop at the Macworld keynote on Tuesday if that interests you.

I think I remember reading that the 9 cell battery has around double the battery life of the 6 cell. Handy if you're not near a power point often.

Got 4 hours out of my 9-cell last night with bluetooth and wireless on and I was watching flims on the interwebs.
