    Many are falling victim via booby-trapped websites that use vulnerabilities in Microsoft's browser to install the attack code.

    I persume that means only IE is vunerable.

    No rootkit scanners will be able to fix this one unfortunately

    Symantec have a report on it. As always with these things not keeping up to date just adds to the risk.

    wow the mbrs are back, i haven't seen one since 1998, think it was called angelina on a win95 pc

    I suppose the best way to remove them will be to plug the drive into another pc, I better carry a laptop, with a good av installed and a usb->ide adapter with me from now on
