Hi, does anyone know how I can:

    a) Turn off 'friend online/offline' alert messages

    b) Turn off voice chat.. all I can hear is background mumblings when I'm playing online.. Its annoying enough listening to people, but it dosent even have enough volume to be audible no matter how loud the TV is turned up..

    Danke Schon :D

    1) go to settings / system settings / notification settings and select do not display.

    2) have the same trouble in cod4 and cant turn it off , i have it all the way down and i still hear people . a mute function is needed badly.

If you have a headset, the way I work around it for COD4 is just turn the headset on and don't use it. That way the voice output will go to the earpiece instead of the main speakers as long as you have it setup that way in the Audio Accessories in System setup. But the game needs a mute option as it's just inconvenient to have to turn one on and not use it.
