    Hello all,

Got my 37" TV, XBox 360, Mac Mini and Media Drive hooked into a standard 5 plug extender. and the possibility of lightning over the last few days have gotten me thinking maybe a surge protector wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Anyone see any good cheap ones online? Obviously want an high quality one though.

    Thanks in advance.

APC are supposed to be **** hot, and their prices are more than reasonable as well IMO.

    One from Belkin.

No idea how good it is, but seems pretty reasonable price.

Im going into Heatons tomoro as i heard they have surge protectors for about E8 but im not too sure whether there were 4 or 5 sockets on them?

They are reasonable as i was lookin for one myself, would this one be suitable for PC,TV,VIDEO,DVD Player etc, but i couldnt find shipping info anywhere on the site?

Also will the surge protector be useful for extension lead(s) connected to it? as i wouldnt know the limitations on the surge protectors.

    Thanks.

Maplin are selling this Belkin model for €15 at the moment.

I think thats the correct model - there's a few similar Belkin ones - differing in cable length and additional AV/RJ45/telecoms protection.

Cheers lads.. couple of great choices there. Will take a closer look later and order one.

As long as it's got input for at least 5 plugs and is a decent model, i'm happy!
