    Hi,

Just read article "UPC extends ‘Digital for All’ to Ireland" http://www.broadbandtvnews.com/?p=3251

that states UPC have completed the upgrade of their cable networks for digital TV in Athlone, Portlaoise, Celbridge, Maynooth, Carlow, Tallow, Lismore, Cappoquinn and Tipperary.

Just wondering if anybody has heard when it will become available in the above places?.

    Cheers.

well if you dont live in the main cities dont get your hopes up of getting 100+ channels on cable!

In athlone, we get about 80 channels altogther and thats including all the subscription channels (movies, sports etc). So thats about 60 channels max including radio stations!, which isnt a huge improvement on analogue. And they dont replace any cabling, so channels are skipping/freezing anytime theres bad weather. Stick to sky if you want digital tbh as theres nothing UPC does any better atm.
