Ipod lifeless

I was listening to my ipod Wednesday evening while walking home and the battery was nearly empty. The ipod came to a halt as the battery was fully depleted. Since then I have tried both charging it in my sound dock and with the usb cable kooked to my monitor in work. None of these seem to be able to spark it back to life. The ipod is a IPodphoto4G

Has this happened to anyone before and if so how did you get your ipod back up and running?

    Thanks in Advance

happened to me a long time ago with a 3G one, granted i cracked the screen but i just took the back off and cleaned it a bit and it worked again no problems! Might be a good last resort if you don't wanna open it up just yet.

A guy in work sorted it for me by holding down menu and centre button for about 15 seconds
