I've a french discursive letter for next monday.

Dans toute chose, il y a un bon cote.

Basically every cloud has a silver lining.
I've no idea where to start this one, can anyone give me a few pointers. Some useful phrases for it, some points to make etc.....would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....:D

A discursive letter? Never heard of anything like that before. Can you quote the question?

Literally translated I would have it as: In every thing, there is a good side.

Not that terribly difficult tbh. Why not make it some personal thing like, some situation in your life where you thought something was crap but it turned out better than you expected or vice versa.

I presume it's a discursive essay, as opposed to a letter.
