Do Civil Servants get paid weekly or monthly?

    Hi Folks

    I'm just wondering if Civil Servants get paid weekly or monthly? I've applied for a Clerical Officer position and would like to know in advance whether I'm going to enjoy work one day per week, or one day per month :D

    I'm in the public sector and am paid weekly! I think it's astonishing too. Civil Service jobs are paid neither weekly nor monthly but fortnightly!

    higher levels are paid monthly. it used to be that clerical officers were paid weekly, but i'd be fairly certain (despite only guessing) that you'd be paid monthly.

    I know 2, 1 is paid monthly 1 is paid fortnightly, i think it depends on the exact job or Dept.

    Clerical Officer is paid every Week (Friday)
    Staff Officer, Executive Officer and Higher Executive Officer are Paid Forthnightly.
    Some of the higher grades are forthnightly and then some are monthly.

    Correct.

    i'm a CO and get paid weekly.

    I should add that AO (Similar to HEO) get paid forthnightly aswell, i think AP are forthnightly and its PO upwards that are monthly.

    We CO's should set up a support network on Boards! God knows there's enough of us here :D

    But not during office hours of course...;)

    clerical officers, staff officers get paid weekly
    executive officers, higher exective and higher grades get paid fortnightly

    a few grade usually specialist grades get paid monthly

    Oh yeah and internet access is restricted to people of a EO grade or higher in my office.

    have to agree to some extent. i do all the work in our 3 man office and while i do get credit from the peeps above it's terribly annoying the other 2 dick about all day doing sweet FA
