I went to college and lived there when a lot of Irish people and papers were saying that everyone hates the Irish over there cause we wreck the shop. And i never heard anything after the summer months that criticized the Irish. I think it's all a lot of hype. People who sublet probably dislike renting out to Irish people because of complaints from neighbors about all night scoopin sessions and fitting about 20 people in a 3 bedroom house

i went to san diego the summer of '06. we did find it quite hard to get accomodation as most people hung up when they heard our accent or they said they only offered year contracts. many irish people just opted for the year contracts and bundled in but luckily after bout a week we got an apartment which wasnt as close to the beaches as we wouldve liked but we still had the best summer EVER. san diego is heaven i would go back in the mornin. if your goin id recommend search accomodation on internet first as thats what many irish had done the year we were ther.:)
