Doesn't say anything about HDCP support.... so i'd be sceptical.

I emailed Komplett at the same time as I posted here and there response is "You would need a HDMI-DVI cable for the PS3 to work with this monitor."

    I guess it's worth a try!

I have that monitor , and tried it with the PS3 , in fairness , the best answer to your question is no , it wont work.

It works for some stuff , but because its a 4:3 monitor your only seeing about half the screen , blu-ray will not play on it under any circumstances , you just get a black screen , Im assuming thats because there is no HDCP ,it could also be that the resolution of monitor was not supported by the content, I was using a DVI to HDMI for this.

The native resolution on this monitor is not good for the PS3 , and move it off the native resolution and the picture turns to mush.

Believe it or not , motorstorm would not play on it either , although the other games did , the monitor is not good at handling any kind of widescreen format from the PS3 , and either grossly distorts it or uses only about half the screen , all in all , not good at all so I would have to stick with the no answer , it would be a waste of money to buy this for a PS3 , better to go with one of the widescreen monitors.

Googling etc seems to confirm the whole needing HDCP and me not having it thing.

How did you get it working mathias? Even partially ....

I tried holding the power button down, also tried hooking up to a TV via SCART, going through the options and choosing HDMI output but still blank monitor.

    Any advice be great thanks.

It will work with one of these , but only for non HDCP content , ( some games , some video content , some DVDs etc. ) try Blu ray or anything with HDCP and you get nothing....

Again , the picture is terrible , being only a 4:3 monitor it letterboxes most everything or distorts it like crazy , so its not worth buying the cable for , I just happened to have a cable and this monitor from my old PC build ,

The monitor has since been given away , it was never that great even with the PC , it quotes a 4ms refresh rate but I'd love to know how they came up with that figure , it always had screen tearing on even the most basic of games. ( The PC was using what was , at the time , the state of the art when it came to graphics , which was a 7800 GTX .... the monitor just wasnt up to the job.)

I should be able to get the main PS3 menu though right ? I got nothing, just a blank screen.

Well , yeah , you should have got the main PS3 screen ! Try hitting the source button on the monitor a few times , that should cycle through the options for the inputs.

Just read this over on the Playstation forum , there is a possibility that your playstation is still set to a res that the monitor cant handle , to reset it do this ,

hold the power button in when you switch it on until you hear 2 beeps.

Then the PS3 should auto detect the monitor and set itself up as best it can.

Tried that with the power button but no success :(
