So Padraig done the business this year and won a major,

can Clarke or McGinley follow suit??

    Here Hoping.

I feel Darren is in for a renaissane year.

If McIlroy keeps the head and all around him keep theirs he is the one.
Has the hunger to be a huge force. Has the age and the game.

Love to see Clarke make the jump but its too much of a mental jump for him IMO

I'd say Harrington or McIlroy will be the next Irish Major winner. Cant see Clarke or McGinley winning one at this stage. McDowell might have a Major in him though.

I would like to see G Mac get a major.

Clarke seems a bit big time to me, I've watched him on the range next to Padraig, Darren shanking one armed wedges while holding a mobile to his ear, while padraig is working on his game. Not wonder Paddy got a major first.

Clarke is mentally weak with a shocking fear of 6 footers.

    Me.

Ok I'd like to see Darren Clarke win one but I don't think he has the dedication anymore - that's not a negative comment.....he has other more important things to do like being a father.

McIllroy is our best hope and has shown that he can compete.

Don't rule out Clarke in the Masters. In 2006 he was fourth going into the final round before having a 77. He was Top 20 in 2005. In 2003 he was first round leader before fading to 28th. However I think that he had to play a load of holes on one day because that tournament was badly rain affected and there was a time when he wasn't too fit. In 2002 he was 20th and in 2001 he was 20th.

Even last year when he was shocking and opened with an 83 he had one of the best second rounds of 71.

Of course being ranked 227 in the world he's unlikely to qualify and I don't know if the Masters do sponsors invites.

McIlroy: Have no doubt he will win more than one, not for at least 3 years though

Harrington: Think he will win another although much as I admire the chap, I just don't particularly like him

Clarke: Amazing natural talent. If he can get his head right he is definitely good enough. Played great in Joburg this weekend.

McGinley: Not a hope in hell. Don't rate him and never did.

Graeme McDowell: The Dark Horse here. Can be very erratic but shows moments of brilliance. My outside chance.

Harrington will win another. McIlory will surly win one but give him some time, great talent all the same.

Love to see Clarke do it. Would complete his career.

McGinley, McDowell, Hmm, too eratic both of them but of the two, I'd plump for McDowell ahead of McGinley.

    Harrington and Clarke.
Dunno whos gonna win what but they are top class players. Clarke I think is a bit more natural while Padraig seems to always be practising.
